I am a website mechanic
I fix broken things. I add on extra features. I make the site do the thing. And I spend a lot less time working on my own site than I ought to.
My usual acronyms include PHP, SQL, JS, CSS. My regular vocabulary is peppered with drush, wp-cli, ifconfig, git, ssh, bash, apache, nginx, composer. Most of my usual contract work is Wordpress, but I also use Backdrop and Drupal, and have dabbled in a variety of others.
I work regularly with Sol Design (I'm the one in the hat and black jacket) and Dogghouse Interactive.

I'm in the market for (another) shop that needs what I can do - maintain servers, fix DNS problems, write WordPress shortcodes, debug database issues, migrate content, configure complex Drupal views, fix that PHP error causing recursive loops, add a bit of JS spice, and most everything else that isn't actually creating graphics and design layouts. I've been doing this for twenty-odd years, there's not much I haven't tackled at some point. I even have an MA in English for the miscellaneous documentation.
